Update On Tekkit And Linux


Just a really quick update; because it wasn't clear in my original post.

The technic / tekkit launcher doesn't appear to start -- certainly with the JRE in the Arch Linux repos -- when calling "java technic-launcher-latest.jar". It errors with:
Error: Could not find or load main class technic-launcher-latest.jar
Through some trial and error, I found the main class that should be loaded and created a string in my original tekkit launcher script that called java to run that specific class on load. The class is "org.spoutcraft.launcher.Main" or "org/spoutcraft/launcher/Main" if you open the JAR in a archive program. To call it with Java I used a modified version of the default Minecraft launch script:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$JAVA_HOME/lib/amd64/:$JAVA_HOME/lib/i386/:$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/amd64/:$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/" exec /opt/java/jre/bin/java -Xmx1024M -Xms512M -cp ~/technic-launcher-latest.jar org.spoutcraft.launcher.Main $@
Where the "-cp" location is where the technic launcher is located. A simple fix that I overlooked explaining previously. As a side note I somehow managed to get top Google results for "minecraft white screen arch".
